What Bilancio Familiare does

Bilancio Familiare is an Android app that shows you, without any effort, where the household money goes. You organize your income and expense categories however you like — Home, then Utilities, then Electricity — and record income and expenses against whichever category you want, at any depth.

The report shows each category's total including all of its sub-categories: at a glance you see what an entire area of spending really costs you, not just the last line you entered. There is no account to create, no internet connection needed and no server anywhere: the app runs entirely on your phone.

The features

A category tree with no depth limit

Create the categories you need and nest them as deep as you like. A category can be moved under another one at any time: the tree reorganizes itself and every total is recalculated accordingly.

Income and expenses on any category

An entry attaches to whichever category you prefer, including an intermediate one: you are never forced to drill all the way down to a leaf just to record an expense.

Reports with totals that roll up

Every category shows its own total plus that of all the sub-categories beneath it. You can expand and collapse branches of the tree and hide categories that have no entries yet.

Charts you can actually read

Income and expenses over time with the balance line, a comparison across several categories, and a doughnut breakdown. Every chart has its own legend and a button that shows the same numbers as a table: colour alone never carries information.

Whatever period you want

The balance and the entry list can be filtered by period. On opening, the app starts from “All time”: you immediately see everything you have entered, without wondering where the rest went.

Amounts that always add up

Amounts are handled internally as whole numbers of cents, never as floating-point values: cents never go missing along the way and the totals always balance.

What data we collect

None. The app collects no personal data, transmits none, and stores none on our side. There is no sign-up, no account, no login area and no server for the app to connect to.

Where the data you enter goes

The categories, entries, amounts, dates and any notes you enter are stored solely in a local database (SQLite) inside the app's private storage on your device. None of this information is sent to us or to any third party.

The published version of the app does not declare the internet permission, so Android prevents it at the operating-system level from making any network communication at all. This is not a promise but a technical constraint you can check yourself on the app's Google Play listing, under “App permissions”.

Permissions requested

The app requests no system permissions: no internet, no contacts, no location, no camera, no microphone, no file access and no notifications.

Advertising, analytics and third-party services

The app contains no advertising, includes no analytics or usage-tracking tools (no Google Analytics, Firebase, Crashlytics or similar), does not use the device advertising identifier and integrates no third-party SDK that collects data. We do not profile users and we make no automated decisions about them.

In-app purchases

The current version of the app is entirely free and contains no in-app purchases. Should paid features be introduced in the future, payment would be handled directly by Google Play: we would neither receive nor process your card or payment method details in any way. This policy would be updated before any such feature is introduced.

Device backup

Android provides an automatic backup feature which, if the user has enabled it in the phone settings, may include installed apps' data in the backup associated with their Google account. This is an operating-system feature, governed by the user's own Android settings and Google account and subject to Google's privacy policy: we have no access to those backups and no way to read them. Backup can be turned off at any time in the Android settings.

Data retention and deletion

Your data stays on the device for as long as the app is installed, and you are in control of it: you can edit or delete individual categories and entries from within the app. To remove everything at once you can use “Clear data” in the app's Android settings, or simply uninstall the app: in both cases the local database is deleted and the deletion is permanent. Because we hold no copy of your data, we cannot recover it under any circumstances.

Your rights

Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) grants data subjects the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Since we collect no personal data, there is no record held by us against which to exercise those rights: your data is already entirely under your own control on your own device. For any clarification you are welcome to write to info@itco-pro.com.

Children

The app is not specifically directed at children and, collecting no data at all, it collects no data from children.

Changes to this policy

Any changes will be published on this page, with the date above updated accordingly. If they concern the processing of personal data, we will also make this clear on the app's Google Play listing.

Support and contact

To report a problem, suggest a feature or ask anything at all about the app, write to info@itco-pro.com: we reply in English and in Italian.

If you are reporting a bug, please tell us your phone model, your Android version and what you were doing when it happened: those three pieces of information are almost always enough to reproduce the problem.
